Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and FinAI ("we", "our", or "us") governing your use of the AI Expense Tracker — FinAI mobile application ("the App").
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
The Service
FinAI is an AI-powered personal expense tracking application for iOS. The App allows you to log income and expenses using natural language, processed by an AI agent to extract structured financial data. The App also provides analytics, bank account management, and bill tracking features.
All your data is stored locally on your device. FinAI has no server, no database, and requires no account or login. The only data transmitted outside the app is the transaction text you type, sent to the OpenAI API for processing.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the App at any time with reasonable notice where possible.
Subscriptions & Billing
FinAI offers a free trial and paid subscription plans. All subscriptions are managed through Apple's App Store and RevenueCat.
Free Trial
- New users receive a 3-day free trial of the full Pro plan
- No charge is made during the trial period
- If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription automatically converts to a paid plan
Paid Plans
- Subscription fees are charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time via your Apple ID account settings
- Current pricing is displayed in the App and may change with advance notice
Refunds
All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests are subject to Apple's refund policy. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
AI Usage & Token Limits
AI-powered features consume tokens from your plan's monthly allocation. Each plan includes a defined token limit.
- Token usage resets on your billing renewal date
- Once your token limit is reached, AI features will be unavailable until the next reset or an upgrade
- Your remaining token count is visible within the App
- Unused tokens do not roll over to the next period
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use FinAI to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App
- Attempt to circumvent subscription checks, token limits, or security measures
- Input sensitive personal identifiers (such as passwords, card numbers, or government ID numbers) into AI processing fields
- Use automated tools or scripts to interact with the App
Your Data
You retain full ownership of all financial data you enter into FinAI. That data is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
You can export your data at any time using the CSV export in Settings. You can permanently delete all your data by uninstalling the App.

Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that AI-extracted data will always be accurate.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, FinAI and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data or financial loss, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App.
Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Termination
You may stop using the App at any time. To delete all your data, uninstall the App from your device. To cancel your subscription, go to your Apple ID account settings.
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App if you breach these Terms, or if we discontinue the service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (disclaimers, liability limitations) will remain in effect.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via an in-app notice before the new Terms take effect. Your continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.
